“Start studying early.That way,you can cover the volume of work in necessary detail.While courses and study guides are useful for condensing the large amount you have to know, you should not use them as a replacement for doing the readings. Cover all the readings in sufficient time. Then spend lots of time doing the practice exams/past papers.”

“The strategy I followed in preparing for the CFA Program was to read the material first. Then I followed the outline and wrote down all I could about every topic from the books. Once I got through the outline I began working practice tests. As the exam got closer I focused only on the material I was still missing questions on. It worked really well!”

“My strategy was to commit to a study schedule that was a crescendo until exam time.I would start with studying only a few days in January,committing to three evenings a week in February, and then every evening in March. In April and May, I forced myself to study for two hours each night during the week and then three to five hours on each weekend day. I also made sure to allocate time on the weekend for recreation so that I didn’t lose focus during my study hours.”
